About the Role (your why)<\/strong> <\/p> <\/p>
The role is based at our Hamilton, Kapua Data Centre and involves a rotating shift pattern with night and day shift work. <\/p>
The 24x7 Data Centre Technician performs a large number of remote hands and first level support tasks including installation of customer equipment, cables and cabling infrastructure.<\/p>
We will train you to undertake scheduled and ad hoc tasks set out by the 24x7 Operations Manager and work alongside a team of site leads and operators to provide the highest standards in operational deliverables.<\/p>

- Complete and contribute to the Data Centre training programme<\/li>
- Support the Data Centre Team with Batch Services: Operating batch processes, monitoring alerts and escalating issues.<\/li>
- Provide first level support and hands and eyes services to our Data Centre customers<\/li>
- Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to. <\/li>
- Provide consistent and excellent management of data centre assets.<\/li>
- Delivery of customer facing activities and fostering customer relationships <\/li>
- Installation and/or management of Data Centre infrastructure including power systems, IT and telecommunications equipment, cabling and server racks.<\/li>

What you\u2019ll do <\/strong> <\/p> The Associate Director \u2013 Pre-Sales (ITO) is responsible for (but not limited to):<\/p>
Deal Management:<\/strong><\/p> - Acting as a central point of contact for deal structuring and pricing, balancing competitive market requirements with profitability objectives aligned to stakeholder objectives<\/li>
- Leading the assessment of risk and value in complex deals, negotiating terms that align with organisational objectives<\/li>
- Supporting deal review processes with executive leadership, providing insights into win probability, solution design, and financial viability<\/li> <\/ul>
Collaboration with Sales:<\/strong><\/p> - Working closely with sales leadership to align pre-sales activities with the broader sales strategy and pipeline management<\/li>
- Delivering solutions with innovative commercial deal structures and constructs to show differentiation vs market competitors, with a focus on intently listening to customers and solutioning the desired outcomes for Datacom and the customer<\/li>
- Collaborating with account teams to tailor solutions for specific client needs, leveraging internal and partner capabilities<\/li>
- Serve as a trusted advisor for sales teams, providing market insights and expertise in Managed Operations to guide deal pursuit<\/li> <\/ul>
Bid Response Leadership:<\/strong><\/p> - Overseeing and managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to RFPs, RFIs, and proposals <\/li>
- Ensuring bid velocity through development and management of high-paced bid engine, with the speed and quality of output to ensure successful submissions and positive win rates<\/li>
- Aligning bid resourcing profiles to right-size deal and bid teams, managing correct levels of expertise and skillsets balanced with pre-sales budgeting controls<\/li>
- Developing bid strategies aligned with client needs, collaborating with SMEs to ensure technical and service-based accuracy of submissions<\/li>
- Ensuring that all bid materials reflect the organisation\u2019s capabilities and align with strategic business goals<\/li> <\/ul>
Team Leadership & Efficiency:<\/strong><\/p> - Leading and developing a high-performing pre-sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement<\/li>
- Implementing efficient pre-sales processes and tools to optimise resource allocation and ensure scalability in high-demand periods<\/li>
- Mentoring and developing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in IT Managed Services to deepen domain expertise across the team<\/li> <\/ul>

What you\u2019ll bring <\/strong> <\/p> - Strong background and SME capabilities across IT Managed Services in an outsource capability, including capabilities like Intelligent Workspace, End User Experience, Server Management, Cloud Managed Services, Service Management and Service Operations<\/li>
- Strong background in bid management, solution design, and deal structuring with a focus on large-scale IT services<\/li>
- Strong commercial acumen across deal curation, financial management including IFRS, cashflow, amortisation and finance principles such as overheads, allocations etc<\/li>
- Proven experience in leading pre-sales teams, preferably in IT Managed Services environments<\/li>
- Expertise in collaborating with sales, delivery, and technical teams to develop client-centric solutions<\/li>
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills<\/li> <\/ul>

- Gathering user requirements, developing and analysing customer/user profiles, and creating task scenarios for target segments <\/li><\/ul>
- Designing the user experience including information flows, interaction models, and the user interface <\/li><\/ul>
- Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components, and informational components <\/li><\/ul>
- Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns, and attractive user interfaces <\/li><\/ul>
- Leveraging AI-powered design tools and techniques to accelerate prototyping, enhance user testing insights, and iterate on design solutions <\/li><\/ul>
- Creating deliverables including conceptual diagrams, site maps, interaction flows, storyboards, page/screen schematics/wireframes, help and instructional copy \u2013 all conforming to the organisation's user experience guidelines <\/li><\/ul>
